For younger children, Dadlez also advised parents to associate mask-wearing with other images of safety. For example, toddlers may want to hold their favorite stuffed animal while they put on a mask, or listen to a bedtime story about their favorite masked hero the pandemic has produced several.

Pierre also advised parents to look for masks with softer ear loops, or to invest in ear-savers for kids with especially sensitive skin. Parents looking for a DIY-alternative can also fashion their own ear-savers out of ribbon and paperclips.

Several doctors agreed that the Gap and Old Navy are great places to start looking for fun, reusable masks that kids will want to keep on all day. For disposable masks, Pierre recommended these from Dr. Parents using these should send their kids to school with extras, she said, in case they get wet or damaged. Instead, she reiterated that focusing on fit should remain the top priority. In a pinch, adult masks can be adapted for children, too. Meanwhile, here in samsara, the grimaces are real enough.

People without their masks are incredibly beautiful. Googling for a mask quote, I see Nietzsche said, "Everything profound loves the mask".

Well, it's late at night, and I have now boggled my own mind, trying to figure out what that means. See you in your halloween costume. Diane ps self-deboggling note: "Everything profound loves the mask. But the opposite of a profound truth may well be another profound truth. Post by Tchocolatl » Sat Oct 21, pm Quoi qu'il en soit , let's decorate a bit be for e Halloween and on 31th of October, and for fun, just a little bit more games about disguises, shadows of all sorts, masks : a party of exorcism of all fears that have to be overcome in courage.

Yes, I recall that you are rather good at decorations; I like the purple spider. Can you make a pumpkin appear? Please do. Otherwise, I might have to move your horse to another field: Samhain was celebrated by the pagan Celts from October 31 to November 2 as days of no time when chaos ruled.

Post by Tchocolatl » Tue Oct 24, pm Your desires are orders to me, dear, here is a full patch of pumpkins : Please-please-please do not move my horse to another field, oh non my beautiful beloved horse - I guess that today we should steal the keys of the car and park it in someone elses garage or move it and park it on another street.

No need for the rein no need for the whip. Oscar Wilde what an excellent choice in regard of the mask question, if we think about The picture of Dorian Gray. Poor fools as there is always a consequence to an action, it is a law of nature, not a human law that can be by-pass. Just for fun. Post by Diane » Tue Oct 24, pm Tchoc, lovely pumpkin patch. Thanks, dear. I still cannot promise not to move your horse to another field though; it is so tempting. The horse that carries you is familiar with me, and might easily let me lead it, no need for the whip no need for the rein.

But now if you see it gone you will know it is my doing, and you will laugh rather than become distressed, and I will feed your horse with carrots and it wil enjoy the change of scenery.

Post by Simon » Tue Oct 24, pm Breaking in here if you don't mind. We had a thread on mirrors too, so I thought this might be appropriate.

What if the mask is a mirror on both sides? Just to make things easier Mirror Mask is in fact a recent movie by graphic novel artist Dave Mckean. In the comics world he is by far one of my favorite, in the same league with Bilal for example.

McKean's Batman: Arkham Asylum was an aesthetic shock for me when it came out. I haven't seen the movie yet, but looking forward to it. One of the trailers for the movie invites you to «see what life is like behind the mask
