The wargs in the NE camp of Northern High Pass are 43 and now drop pristine instead of exceptional hides, so the Misty Mountains aren't a great place for exceptional hides anymore that I could find. Actually, it is too low a level for Eorlingas, you get Riddermark and Calenard there. You put an incredible amount of effort into these "resource" pages hides, ore, wood. Plotting the maps must have been painfully tedious.

Exceptional hide - it was Isendeep if the Freeps have control but it's still dangerous because creeps still go in after gold farmers. I would say Sarnur now is the 2nd best if you don't want to risk it in Isendeep.

I prefer this location to the warg den cited by the previous poster since you aren't going to be repeatedly wounded or filled with dread due to wolf howl like you are with the wargs. If such a cap does in fact exist, the only thing I can think of is to hunt them with another lower level toon and then put the hides in your account's shared storage.
